Paul was a key organizer and leader in the North Beach poetry community before he passed away in 1999.
“Over the years I came to realize how proud and moved he was to live this life he’d been given; to be ‘not just a poet’, he’d say; but the all of it: Son. Father. Husband. Soldier. Friend. Lover. Grandfather. Citizen of the World.”
-Laura Conway describing Paul Landry
I hear the old hippies
Floating in and out of long hair
Like limousines in
The fog that is San Francisco.
